Okay I need to get this all down in writing before it goes away...

I had a bigg art project due yesterday, and I had spent all weekend cramming to get it done (like...slept from 4:30am-7am to get up early to work on it more). It was a gradient mesh project, and basically it took forever for me to get the hang of it, I chose really difficult objects to challenge myself, and I really reallyyyy thought mine blew chunks. Well I printed it out,and to my happiness mine came out pretty photoreaslitic and looked great up on the wall (we do in-class critiques). We did a little vote to see which ones we liked the best, and the students voted mine as one that stood out from the others, the one with the most difficult objects, one that is most photo realistic, and one that they would like to hang above their fireplace

SO basically, I went from struggling to getting this done, to feeling like mine was going to be the worst thing in the world, which made me work 10x harder to get it to look good, and it came out as one of the top pieces in the critique. It just felt great to work so hard, to push myself into doing something very challenging, and getting through it to come out on top.

I hope this isn't coming off as braggy, but I really never ever feel this way. I've never worked this hard and been so happy with a result. It made me want to work harder all the time, and I feel like I understand what hard work get give me.

So now I'm a little inspired to really work on my art. I want to start dedicating myself to making my dA portfolio better. Right now their all the same style, the same theme, and it's gross. I'm going to start working on my editorial designs, my logo designs, putting up my best college works, and creating a portfolio that I really am proud of, and that expresses the kind of work that I have to offer.

I also really want to start getting involved with the deviantArt community. I'm going to start going on the forums, browsing through random deviants pages and giving my point of view, and really try to gain as much from this website as possible.

Hopefully posting this where everyone can see and is a witness will give me the initiative to really carry this out. I want to be a great deviantArt member, so I am going to really try to dedicate myself to it
